Major Change in Partner Visa (and other sponsored visa) 17th April
New legislation has recently been introduced that will significantly change whether an Australian Partner Visa application can be lodged whist the applicant is in Australia.

Regional area graduates to receive additional one year on their Temporary Graduate Visa (485)
International students who graduated at regional campus and had higher education or post graduate qualification will be getting an additional 12 month post-study work visa providing a total of three years for Temporary Graduate visa – regional which will commences on 2021.

Single skilled applicants will receive additional points for Skilled Permanent Visa
From November 2019, the Skilled Migration Points Test will be adjusted to award additional points to primary applicants when their partner has competent English but does not meet the existing requirements for skilled partner points. Single applicants will also be awarded additional points to ensure they are not disadvantaged. This measure is estimated to result in an unquantifiable increase in revenue over the forward estimates period. The Department of Home Affairs will be provided with $0.3 million in 2019-20 to implement this measure.
