Hot off the press! Musicians, Dancers, Artistic Professionals, Chemists, Food Technologists, Multimedia Specialists, University Lecturers - now is your chance to live in Australia permanently! Many more skills added in the list!

Major changes to the occupations included in the skilled occupations lists are announced today which will impact eligible occupations for permanent and temporary migration.

The occupation allocation is based on labour market advice provided by the Department of Jobs and Small Business. The update to the skilled occupations lists ensures that the entry of skilled foreign workers to Australia remains carefully calibrated to Australia’s needs.

What does this mean?

In order to qualify for skilled migration to Australia, you must nominate an occupation from the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). New occupations which are not previously eligible for Permanent Skilled Migration are now included in the list. Learn more about Skilled Visas here
